Bhongo Bhongo is a vibrant fusion of Gqom and Kwaito by Yandani Mdletshe, featuring producer and recording artist Prince Gabela, better known as Prince Olumor.
Rooted in the energy and culture of Umlazi, the track is a feel good dance tune that captures the spirit of the kasi through infectious rhythms and a powerful groove. With the catchy refrain “uyayizwa lento, igogogo, iyasho lento,” Bhongo Bhongo celebrates good music, good energy and the unmistakable vibe of Umlazi.
“Thongo Lami” is a spiritual Afro Pop song by Nocky Lu Cocoa, featuring Apic Boys and African Child. Blending Afro Pop with a strong influence of Tribal House, the song is driven by heavy drums, rich percussion and an uplifting rhythmic groove.
It tells the story of travelling in search of a better life, returning home, and giving thanks to God and the ancestors for life, protection, guidance and prosperity.
